Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the SurahKids app and the surahkids.site website. By using either, you agree to them. If you are using SurahKids on behalf of a child, you agree to them on that child's behalf.

What SurahKids is

SurahKids helps children learn the Qur'an word by word — Arabic text, transliteration, word-level meanings, recitation audio, and practice modes covering the 37 surahs of Juz' Amma. It is a learning aid. It is not a substitute for a qualified teacher, and the app makes no claim to religious authority.

Accounts

• You can use a limited version of SurahKids without an account. Saving progress across devices needs one.
• An account belongs to the adult who created it. Keep the sign-in details to yourself.
• Progress is stored against your account, not your device. Signing in elsewhere brings it with you.
• You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deleting it removes your progress.

Paying for SurahKids

Some features are free. The rest — every surah, the review queue, all practice modes and the word games — are unlocked by one of two purchases:

Prices shown are for the United States. Your own store shows the price in your currency, which is set by Apple or Google for your region and may differ.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• A yearly subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged within 24 hours of the period ending.
• If you start a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. It cannot be cancelled from inside the app, because the store — not SurahKids — holds the billing relationship.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds are theirs to give. Request one through reportaproblem.apple.com or Google Play's order history. If something has gone wrong and you are not sure where to start, write to us and we will help.

Purchases and parental permission

SurahKids is designed to be used by children on an adult's device. Pricing and purchasing are kept behind a parental gate for that reason, and the parts of the app a child uses on their own never show a price or a way to buy. If a purchase was made on your device without your permission, contact the store that processed it.

Acceptable use

• Do not copy, redistribute or resell the app's Qur'anic content, translations, audio or artwork outside your own personal use.
• Do not attempt to circumvent purchases, interfere with the service, or access other people's accounts.
• Do not use the app to publish or transmit anything unlawful.

Children's data

SurahKids carries no advertising, no third-party tracking and no data sales. What is collected, and why, is set out in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features. If we withdraw something a lifetime purchase specifically paid for, we will say so in advance and offer a fair resolution. The service is provided as-is, without warranty; we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country, which apply regardless.

Ending these terms

You may stop using SurahKids at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why where we are able to.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and we will make the change visible in the app before it takes effect for you.
